"Grand Bargain" or "Bad Deal"? - Comprehensive Immigration Reform
Today we are releasing information about Comprehensive Immigration Reform. While immigration raids continue nationwide costing U.S. taxpayers millions and separating some children from their parents, the Senate is busy haggling over their Immigration Reform Bill. The Bill has been called the "Grand Bargain", with Democrats and Republicans considering around 20-24 amendments to the bill.
However, Immigration Attorneys and immigration policy analysts are calling the bill "fatally flawed". There are many issues that need to be addressed for true immigration reform, including providing a clear, safe path to citizenship and getting rid of the immigration system backlog, as well as protecting our borders while respecting human rights.
Tune in as our discussion of this issue grows over the next two weeks. What will be the outcome of the Senate's attempts at immigration reform? Will the House's bill look much different? Who are the national policy players and what are they after?
What will comprehensive immigration reform look like?
