Starting July 13 through the end of the month, Mainstream Media Project will be scheduling guests who are working to bridge the divide between what is called the Islamic World and the Muslim World. You might ask, how are two worlds possible on one planet? We wonder the same thing.

Looking at how media images shape how Westerners feel about Islam and how Muslims feel about Western cutlure, we hope to move beyond these images to a deeper cross-cultural understanding where religious tolerance and respect for diversity are achieved.

We have a stellar list of guests for interviews on this topic and we will be releasing "refresher" alerts, to highlight news stories and tie them back to the central theme of our media release, building bridges between Islam and the West.
